Dream-Catcher kits using traditional, natural materials are now available for
weaving many of my dream-catcher designs seen here and in museum shops, Native American
art galleries and other retail stores worldwide. Each dream-catcher kit
comes with natural willow rings, a “shuttle” of imitation sinew, beautiful
natural feathers, natural semiprecious stones, and a fully illustrated
instruction booklet based upon teaching over 5,000 people ages 6-80 how to
weave many different types of dream-catchers. Even experienced dream-catcher weavers have learned several new ideas from our workshops.
We provide some of the finest natural materials so you can create a dream-catcher very similar to the one originally woven by the Anishinabeg.
Metal
rings and leather wrap is not the traditional material to weave a dream-catcher so there is no purpose served in using such a manufactured product.
You can spend less, work less, and achieve a more natural dream catcher like
the authentic dream-catcher seen at the Mille Lacs Museum on the Mille Lacs
Indian Reservation in central Minnesota. This is also the dream-catcher
seen by
Frances Densmore over 100 years ago and described in her book,
Chippewa Customs,
re-published by the Minnesota Historical Society Press (St. Paul) in 1979.
As you weave
the dream-catcher, bring the other beings of Mother Earth into your thoughts.
Remember the plants as you handle the wooden twig; the rocks and waters as
you add semi-precious gems; and the four-legged and winged ones as you use
the feathers. Honor them as though they were your relatives. They are.
Bring
your heart into the Circle of All Beings as you weave the connections within
the wood ring. Remember that even though the thread is very fine, I am all connected. We have much to learn from each other. As you
honor all of the beings of Creation, you bring honor and harmony to
yourSelf.
Offer compassion and loving-kindness to yourSelf. This may be your first or
second experience weaving the dream-catcher. Although you can expect
wonderful results, you do not have to expect to be a master at a craft you
have just begun to learn. Be patient and self-forgiving. Letting go of
judging yourSelf (and others) frees you to enjoy more fully the present
moment. The past is dead and the future is yet to be. The only life that
truly exists is here and now. Many of my students have found that they do
their best
dream-catcher
weaving when they are mindful of what they are doing as they are
doing it. There are fewer mistakes, stress melts away, and they feel at
peace and joyful when they finish
the dream-catcher. Weaving the dream catcher is much more
than a craft project.
Dream-Catcher weaving is a meditation that will bring you closer to the
Creator, the Great Mystery that also
exists in your heart.
In addition to an
illustrated instructional booklet, all dream-catcher weaving kits contain natural wood rings,
natural semi-precious stones, natural feathers and imitation sinew
(originally the thread was made from nettle stalk fibers). There are also
refill kits so you do not have to buy the booklet again. You can order more
then one dream-catcher refill kit.

Power of the Circle dream-catcher is the simplest
dream catcher to weave and its mid-point weave is recognized by the
common culture as “the dream catcher.” Although it was originally a
child’s “toy” intended to sharpen hunting skills, it nevertheless can
be effective in teaching the wisdom of the innate connectedness of all
things and the Original Instructions to love, honor and respect All
Beings in the Web of Life. Packaged in a 6 X 9” “zip-locked” plastic
bag. Ring is 4 ½ “ diameter. Approx 3

Spider Web dream-catchers are the traditional dream
catchers as described by the early 20th century writer,
Frances Densmore, and as seen today in the Mille Lacs Indian Museum on
the Mille Lacs Indian Reservation in central Minnesota. The weave is
end-point and requires somewhat more skill than the mid-point weave.
Yet I have taught this weave to 10 year-old children. 6 X
9” “zip-locked” plastic bag. Ring is 3 ¾“ Approx 3 ounces. |

2 ¾ -3“ in diameter. C-ring is 6”

A
Heart Dreams dream
catcher can be hung around your neck so that it lies next to your
heart. Dreams shower upon you from the Dream Keeper even during the
day. When you dream at night you are asleep, and when you receive the
dreams of the day you are fully conscious and can receive the
treasures.
The simple design and the use of the
mid-point weave makes this both very unique and easy to create.
Packaged in 6 X 9” “zip-locked” plastic bag. Woven ring is 2 " in
diameter. It comes with a leather thong, but a chain can be used if
you prefer. Approx 3 ounces. |

Path of the Spirit
Dream-Catchers are spiral dream catchers that utilize the mid-point weave and
are
even easier to create than Power of the Circle Dream-Catchers above in that it is not
necessary to be so careful about the initial spacing between loops.
However, tying the ends is somewhat more complex. The spiral is about
4” in diameter and 12” high. Packaged in a 4 x 4 X 18” tube. Approx.

Hello there, my name is Gordon B. from the
UK. I ordered one of your heart dreamcatcher kits last week, and it arrived
on Saturday. It was my first go at making one, and I was thrilled with the
results. I would now like to make plenty for friends, and subscribers to my
newsletter.
dreamcatcher kits last week, and it arrived on Saturday. It was my first go
at making one, and I was thrilled with the results. I would now like to make
plenty for friends, and subscribers to my newsletter.
I have a couple of questions: Could you tell me please what the sinew is
made of, and how the feathers are come across. Also could you tell me how
many of the refill kits I could order. I think I will also also a booklet
and kit for some of the other designs.
I
was delighted with my creation, and was indeed mindful of what I was
creating as I went along. It felt great to create it, and I will enjoy
making them individually for others. Thanks again, looking forward to
hearing from you.
Warmest wishes, Gordon Bryan

This is a crazy world. What can be
done? Amazingly, we have been mislead. We have been taught that we can
control government by voting. The founder of the Rothschild dynasty, Mayer
Amschel Bauer, told the secret of controlling the government of a nation
over 200 years ago. He said, "Permit me to issue and control the money of
a nation and I care not who makes its laws." Get the picture? Your freedom
hinges first on the nation's banks and money system. That's why we
advocate using the
Liberty Dollar, to understand the
monetary and banking system. Freedom is connected with
Debt Elimination for each individual. Not
only does this end personal debt, it places the people first in line as
creditors to the National Debt ahead of the banks. They don't wish for you
to know this. It has to do with recognizing WHO you really are in
